The Eden Prairie Police and Fire Departments have recently unveiled a new Mobile Command Center (MCC), marking a significant advancement in the city’s emergency response infrastructure. This state-of-the-art vehicle replaces a smaller unit that had been in service for 24 years and was officially commissioned on March 11, 2026.
The MCC is designed to function as a centralized hub during critical incidents, natural disasters, community events, and regional emergencies. Equipped with advanced communication and coordination tools, it enables first responders to manage situations more effectively and efficiently.
Beyond serving Eden Prairie, the MCC is available to assist neighboring communities, including Edina, Hopkins, St. Louis Park, and Minnetonka. This collaborative approach strengthens regional emergency response capabilities, ensuring a more coordinated effort during large-scale incidents.
The introduction of the MCC underscores Eden Prairie’s commitment to public safety and its proactive stance in adopting modern technologies to protect residents and the broader community.
